DR-FLOX-10 INJECTION

Composition

Each 100ml contain:
Enrofloxacin..10gm

Indications

Treatment of respiratory infections, soft tissue infections, urogenital tract infections, gastrointestinal tract infections, mastitis in Cattle, Sheep and Goats. Respiratory disease (CRD, Complicated CRD), Coryza, Fowl Cholera, Fowl typhoid, Bumble foot, Necrotic enteritis, Wing rot and Pullorum disease in poultry.

Dosage & Administration

Cattle and Buffaloes: 7.5-12.5 mg per kg bw by SC injection or 2.5 – 5 mg per kg bw by IM or IV route daily for 3-5 days
Sheep, and Goat: 2.5 mg/kg bw by IM route daily for 3-5 days Horses: 5 mg/kg bw by IV route daily for 3-5 days
Poultry: 10 mg/kg bw by IM route daily for 3-5 days

Withdrawal Period

Cattle 14 days, pig 10 days.

Precautions

Animals with severe kidney or liver problems may need a reduced dose of enrofloxacin. Hydration should be monitored and fluid therapy used in animals at risk for dehydration.
Enrofloxacin should be used with caution or avoided in animals at risk for seizures. This drug is not used in humans due to central nervous system stimulation.
Enrofloxacin should not be used for regional antibiotic perfusion because it is too irritating and will cause vasculitis.

Storage

Tightly sealed and store in a cold place, avoid lights.
