Composition
Each gm contains:
Trichlorofon 100mg
Mode of Action
Following a stimulus from brain, acetylcholine is released at neuromuscular junction & transmits the stimulus to sense organs. Cholinesterase is an enzyme which splits up acetylcholine in a fraction of second.
I –TRICHLORPHONE POWDER inhibits the activity of cholinesterase and results in accumulation of acetylcholine at ganglia of nerve ending. This accumulation causes severe contraction of muscle & leads to the death of Endo & Ecto parasites.
Indications
Ectoparasites in domestic animals including poultry, e.g. lice, fleas, ticks, sheep, kids, manage mites, chicken mites, flies.
Ecdoparasites in cattle grubs (Hypoderma bovis, Hypoderma lineatum, Dermatovia hominis), nasal bots (Oestrus ovis) and screw worms.
Various gastrointestinal parasites in cattle, sheep, goats, and horses, especially horse bots (Gastrophilus).
Tolerance
I–TRICHLORPHONE POWDER is well tolerated in the doses recommended Intoxications can only occur as a result of carelessness or misfortunes and can e effectively treated by i.m. injection of atropine Sulphate 1% solution Humans 0.2 ml (2 mg).
Adult cattle, Horses 8-10 ml
Calves, sheep, goats 2-5 ml
If necessary, repeat injection after 1-2 Hours.
Dosage & Administration
For External use:
1.5 gm I–TRICHLORPHONE POWDER to be added in 1litre of water and carefully spray on animals or dip the birds for 1-2 minutes, also spray floors, walls, ceiling, nests windows, doors and the other sites where the parasites of flies gather.
For Internal use :
10 gm I–TRICHLORPHONE POWDER to be added in 100 ml of water and administer 0.3 ml to 0.5 ml per kg. body weight.
Hypodermiosis:
20 gm I–TRICHLORPHONE POWDER to be added in 1litre of water and spray on effective part.
